Cough Syrup.

Life's too short to even care at all, oh
I'm losing my mind losing my mind losing control
These fishes in the sea, yeah they're staring at me, woah
A wet world aches for a beat of a drum, oh

If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I should have found by now
I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down, come down

Life's too short to even care at all, oh
I'm coming up now coming up now, out of the blue
These zombies in the park, they're looking for my heart, woah
A dark world aches for a splash of the sun, oh

If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I should have found by now

And so I run now to the things they say could restore me
Restore life the way it should be
Waiting for this cough syrup to come down

One more spoon of cough syrup now, oh
One more spoon of cough syrup now, oh

Cape Town Fashion Week...Delayed.

Was given the opportunity of a life time my friend Catherine Tinkler's mother Mandy to go to the first day of CT Fashion Week to watch both the Habits and Gavin Rajah shows. I was quite in awe being surrounded by such glamorous people, and being interviewed and photographed was definitely a bit strange for me, but I'm not complaining. (Note: This was in July this year, so this delayed by...oh, i don't know...5 months? pfft.) I'm so bad at this, wow.

Habits:

Lots of bright colours and stripes and maxi dresses, definitely a very summery collection. Was lucky enough to meet designer Jenni Du Toit after the show.

Gavin Rajah:

Known for his lavish, jewel-encrusted gowns, Rajah definitely put on a show. I didn't take many pictures during this show cause I was completely in awe (as a result, most of these pictures are taken from the Elle Sotuh Africa website). The show was reeally long so these are just some of my favourites.

This was possibly one of the most amazing nights of my life and I hope to go back next year!

Outfit post.

Went to breakfast at Olympia Cafe in Kalk Bay this morning and wore this.
Dress and waistcoat are both vintage, and yes I did curl my hair cause I felt like it.
Was having one of those days where I didn't want to wear anything too fitted or tight, so this is all quite loose (super comfy = thumbs up).
Can't see my shoes, but I was just wearing pretty sandal type things, not that important.

Sorry for being excessively lazy with posting! Not that anyone cares really

Summer Loving.

So glad Summer's finally back, I'm getting a bit over-excited. I want to be one of those people who lives on the beach. Put this set together this morning cause I was bored; just mixing and matching really cool tops with really cool shorts, yeeah. Joking, I'm not that cool.

Holidays are here. And there are lots of things I want to do, so I should hopefully be posting a bit more these holidays, with more interesting stuff.

But right now I'm going to get the next chocolate out of my advent calendar, which I convinced my mom that I am NOT too old for. (Who's ever too old for Christmas?)

So...bye.
