Awake My Soul.

Have been frightfully busy for a little while now, what with exams and everything.

So I thought I'd dedicate a quick post to my friend Jess (you rock for following my blog) and just post some cool photos :)

The theme of today is: Freedom. Joy. Life. Inspiration.
And to go along with it, some song lyrics which fit the theme perfectly.

Young Blood - by - The Naked and Famous.
Love it...Go and look it up. Now :)

We're all young and naive still
We require certain skill
The motive changes like the wind
Hard to control when it begins

The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Can't help myself but count the flaws
Claw my way out through these walls
One temporary escape
Feel it start to permeate

We lie beneath the stars at night
Our hands gripping each other tight
You keep my secrets hope to die
Promises, swear them to the sky

The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

As it withers
Brittle it shakes
Can you whisper
As it crumbles and breaks
As you shiver
Count up all your mistakes

Pair of forgivers
Let go before it's too late
Can you whisper
Can you whisper
Can you whisper
Can you whisper

The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Appreciate every moment. The people you surround yourself with are the people who have made you who you are today. Don't underestimate them. Enjoy your time with them. You never know when they'll be gone.

Friday the 13th.

Ah, it has finally come to the time that I post all of my grade 10 dance photographs :)

Must say it was a great night, spent with lots of amazing friends. The before party was held at my friend Jess's, (she has recently started up a blog - go support her at putonyourshoesandletsgo.blogspot.com) and from there we all made our way to the venue, which was in Seapoint and was beautifully decorated by our committee, who all did an amazing job :)

Sorry that the quality of these pictures isn't so great! Shown above from left:
Claudia, Me, Lauren.
My dad and I :)

Me and a couple of good friends; from left - Jess, Andrew, Me, Andrew, Caity and Katherine.

Me and my darling friends Caity and Lauren.

I wish I could have shown you more pictures from the night, and some more of the gorgeous dresses, but I could be sitting at this lonely little desk for hours, and...I have art to do :)

Hope you enjoyed seeing a little slice of my own life for a change :)

Masters of subtlety.

Hello everyone,

sorry that I haven't posted in over a week, but have been swamped with work; projects, orals and art to be specific.

Yesterday was my Grade 10 dance (big excitement). I will most definitely be posting about that in the next couple of days, so be prepared for a whole ton of photographs :)
But, today's post will just consist of some pretty pictures, namely of everything that is soft and feminine and beautiful to look at.

So, what better than Chanel? Otherwise known as the definition of refined, elegant, subtle glamor.

Chanel couture 1937 evening dress. Wow.

Till next time,

Feminine Embrace.

Pale, Pink, Romantic, Organic, Floaty, Light, Effortless, Girly.
All words that describe Rodarte couture.

I am truly in love.

Keira Knightly is a fan - isn't this dress beautiful?

Kate Bosworth is also a fan - love the back of this dress.

Then there's Natalie Portman - probably their biggest celeb supporter.

And then, there were the beautiful costumes designed for The Black Swan; breathtaking!

I must say that Kate and Laura Mulleavy, a.k.a the Rodarte sisters, are a pretty formidable duo, don't you think?

Would love to hear your thoughts.
